The black and grey tones are reprised on the reverse of the scarf in a striking design giving the option of a reversible scarf. It is a generous size, and it is finished with a hand rolled hem and short eyelash fringing giving it a nice finishing touch

Printed Silk & Wool Scarves

Our best selling collection of Italian silk and wool accessories is produced by a small family business based just outside Florence. We have successfully collaborated with this passionate family of designers and craftsmen for over 10 years due in large part to our shared values for quality fabrics, timeless designs and Italian food and wine.

They source the merino wool and silk fabrics from the weaving mills and print shops of Como in Italy. Como has produced silk and wool since the middle ages when an abundance of water and the required food of the silkworm (Mulberry Leaves) ensured that the industry boomed. This area has been renowned for silk printing and jacquard weaving for centuries, producing truly exceptional fabric that go into some of the world’s top design houses.

Each season Massimo, the head of the Florentine family business, visits these mills and handpicks the fabrics and prints for production in his Tuscan workshop which is nestled between the banks for the river Arno and the rolling hills of Chianti Ruffino.

Picking The Prints

The journey of our prints starts in Como, Italy. An area renowned for exquisite textile craftsmanship, it is the go-to for sourcing for our Italian partners.

The process begins with meticulous selection of the finest raw materials, followed by expert weaving to create rich textures. Skilled artisans employ advanced techniques to print intricate patterns, ensuring each fabric exudes sophistication.

This journey from material to masterpiece encapsulates Italian elegance, offering a touch of luxury in every scarf.

Cutting The Fabrics

The prints are then transported to a small family run workshop in Tuscany on the banks of the river Arno. The art of cutting silk and wool fabrics for luxury scarves unfolds with precision and care. A small, skilled team employs traditional techniques, using tailor's scissors and rulers for accuracy.

Each piece is cut by hand, ensuring attention to detail and maintaining the integrity of the exquisite fabrics.

This handcrafted approach highlights our dedication to quality, transforming beautiful textiles into the foundation of luxurious style pieces.

Finishing Touches

The final stage of the process involves expert artisans carefully hand finishing the fringes, adding a touch of bespoke elegance.
